Eikþyrnir — The Oak Antlered One

spearhead5

Beyond the lightning veined clouds stands the ancient hall of the gods, Valhall. Pillars carved from the bones of the first giant hold up the moss grown roof. Upon the roof an ancient stag Eikþyrnir lifts his head to graze the leaves of the world tree, and the dew from his antlers drips down into the spring Hvergelmir — the source of all rivers.

This is a Spearhead and socket I made as part of a collaboration with my friend Petr Florianek for an excellent patron in Britain who ordered a mythic spear with a stag motif. Petr will make the carved haft and a scabbard for the blade. I’m really looking forward to what he does with it.
